Ms Nazia Hussain (f)
Nazia Hussain Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Practice Nurse she is also the Practice Patient Care Coordinator. Nazia Hussain has been with the Practice for several years starting as a Nurse and has recently qualified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Dr Malik has mentored Nazia and will continue to support her in in her new role as Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Nazia Hussain specialises in Diabetes and is the lead at the Practice on the Diabetes 9 Care Process and Bradford Beating Diabetes. Healthcare Assistants
Mrs Shabina Kauser (f)
Shabina Kauser is the Practice Health Care Assistant and has worked at the Practice for the past 10 years. Shabina started out as a receptionist and over the years has trained in a number of different areas including Secretary and Health Care Assistant. During 2015/2016 Shabina has taken part in a large amount of personal development with her health Care role and has trained in: Phlebotomy Wound Care Ear Syringe Asthma and COPD ECG's and 24 hour Blood Pressure Bradford Beating Diabetes Shabina's skills have enhanced the practice services and given more patient choice and service she continues to work as a secretary and health care assistant. |
Our HCA's are also our phlebotomists and are important members of the practice team who work under the supervision of the practice nurse. HCA ‘s are able to take blood samples, check blood pressure, test urine and carry out basic health checks enabling the GP’s, nurse practitioner and practice nurses to carry out more demanding tasks. |

Reception
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. |
